  • Originally built as an underground WWII factory, and then prepared as a fall-back government centre during the Cold War, the Drakelow tunnels are absolutely huge, covering about 3.5 miles in length. There’s opportunities to take tours around the old factory and nuclear bunkers. Be aware this might not be suitable for small children, as parts can be quite eerie.
